Geometries in Wood
In 2020, amid the pandemic and a personal journey with infertility, I commenced a body of work that came to serve as an anchor in a period of deep uncertainty. The geometric shapes that form the basis of these pieces are simple, solid, and require a meditative attention as they are cut and sanded into the desired shapes. Creating these abstract works became a self-care practice, and I came to relish the process of balancing their compositions and repurposing scraps of wood into small slices of grace.
